Slabs

Posted on 12th November, 2023

My energy level today were a little sluggish and I really needed my husband to encourage me to go out shopping on my last day of my annual leave. I’m glad he pushed me to go out as we ended up at Chessington Garden Centre which is where we discovered a new range of crisps unlike anything I’ve ever tasted.

Slabs are potato crisps cut to the thickness you would expect to find when buying such foods as dried apples or pineapple. As expected they are not cheap but the flavours and texture kind of give it that price tag. We opted for the pan fried egg and to say it tasted like I was eating a fried egg with crispy edges around the white would be an understatement.

This week has been a lovely break before Christmas and has given me time to not only celebrate my birthday and wedding anniversary but also time to relax and enjoy the things I miss most. The time to casually catch up with friends and family and almost doodle through the day.
