Thanks to Debbie and Jim, we were treated to a Red Letter Day trip to a Harry Ramsden restaurant for afternoon tea. The food arrived after the pot of tea for two. The food consisted of a three-tier cake stand loaded with chips, battered sausages, deep-fried pickled gherkins, battered onion rings, a mini fish burger, and mini fish cakes. Finished off with a pot of sweet curry sauce, homemade tartare sauce, and a pot of mushy peas. If that was not filling enough, there was something sweet: bread and butter pudding and banana fritters with a pot of hot custard and caramel sauce.
