My Husband and I

I met my future husband and life soul mate, Wayne Alton on 7 November 2000, one day after my 29th birthday. It was in the bar of The New Europe Hotel, Marine Parade, Brighton, now known as Legends (2023). We spent the rest of his week there together, inseparable... shopping and eating out every day. Brighton has an extremely strong bond for both of us.

In 2001, I moved down from Milton Keynes to Surrey, and eventually we moved in with one another. We had a two-bedroom ground floor flat for 13 years and then moved in to a two-bedroom house in 2015.

Establishing that we were always going to remain living together, we got engaged in May 2019 at our frequently visited bar restaurant Bohemia, located in The Lanes, Brighton. Two years later, 6 November 2021, our 21st anniversary and my 50th birthday, Wayne and I married, in front of 30 of our closest friends and family. The venue was once again in Brighton, and was at Hilton Brighton Metropole.
