Night Times Are Better

Last night was the most successful ‘through the night’ yet. Hector wakes up every 3-4 hours, but he can easily fall back asleep if left alone. He usually lets us know between each cycle with a whine and short cry, which can sound distressing, especially if you’re not used to it. Initially, we would go downstairs to comfort him and check his bedding. However, since we installed the second camera directly above his crate, we can now check his bedding and decide whether to leave him or go downstairs. Generally, it comes down to the timing. If he continues to whine for more than 30 minutes, we’ll pop down to make sure he’s okay and reassure him that we’re only upstairs.
