Skydive
In my early years, I did a tandem parachute jump for charity, and at the time, it was the only way to get your jump for free, since back then, this activity was only for the rich. So to achieve this, you would raise a certain amount of money for a charity, and once you reached that target, you would then get your jump for free.
Back then, there was no filming of you as you did your dive, as it was in the days of hand-held camcorders, nothing like today, where a Go-Pro would be strapped to a skydiver's helmet.
As of today, I am a little overweight to be able to do such an adventure again, but that's not saying that if I do reach my ideal weight, I may be able to relive that event with today's more advanced technology to record it. So to live that dream again, I had to do it in a controlled environment, and so iFly was the perfect alternative.
The adrenaline kicked in, and I screamed with joy as I was lifted by the wind, this time without the need to be harnessed to a professional.
I floated around the wind tunnel on two flights, and then, towards the end of my second session, Harry, my instructor, took me on a high fly to the top of fly space.
Oh wow, what an experience!
