My Saturdays off are a bit of hit and miss with either doing very little and just resting or a spot of gardening, maybe washing the cars, or getting our hair cuts but generally doing very little.
Today started with a trip to the garden centre to get a backdrop for the lounges fish tank and also some more shrimps and endlers for my other tanks.
After we had bought the fish and got them in their new homes it was getting close to lunch time and I suggested we headed out for a pub lunch. Not knowing where to go other than driving into the countryside and just stopping somewhere, Wayne suggested we visit one of our local pubs and so we ended up at The Hope, Carshalton.
This pub is truly a hidden gem and right on our doorstep that we have driven past many a time. We got a taste of some of those traditional pub grub meals they serve and a glug or two of its range of craft beers.
