As a fishkeeper, you are always learning not just from others in the hobbyist community but also from your own mistakes, achievements or new discoveries, and the same goes when you are feeding your fish, you find out what they like by the rate they eat it at or just swim in the opposite direction.
Simply dropping flakes, granules or frozen food into the aquarium gives nothing for your fish to fight for, and so they rule on what you feed them, they decide to eat it or not, and so the challenge came for me to breed some live food for them.
I saw a kit on Amazon that other keepers rave about for how easy it is to use and the yield they get from one scoop, so I thought, for under £20 all in, what did I have to lose if it didn't work then a lesson learnt and something I would just sell on eBay.
I had never seen such a feeding frenzy from my community fish until today when I dropped in some homegrown brian shrimp.
This kit is a keeper.
