Covid did more than change the world, it affected the livelihood of all our local businesses and for those that could go online and still maintain a service did, others struggled and some even collapsed. When we finally came out of the worse of covid it was hard for every business to gain its customers again as life had changed and more individuals were either working from home or were still to worried about going out and mixing with other people in a social environment.  I was, like so many others that went into shielding had a real struggle just stepping out of the front door, let alone thinking about being in any kind of social setting.  Finally I managed to make my own kind of normal and though still very limited in my choice of places to be both myself and my husband did eventually return to going out and enjoying a meal together or with close friends.

Our local Indian restaurant that we used mainly for takeaways throughout the pandemic has recently gone through a massive makeover with fewer seating due to more of its custom being online and it actually makes for a more intimate experience. With the changes to the restaurants interior so the menu followed suit.

My husband and I was invited to a tasting menu night so to give feedback on what they were thinking of adding to a more fine dining experience.  There was two food options, one being a vegetarian selection but we both opted for the regular mixed meat and fish option. The food was more to its cultural roots and was both rich with colour, flavours, spices and authenticity. Overall a fantastic night out.
